I’ve been a digital shooter for a number of years starting with my Nikon D80, then moving on to the D700, and now shooting with the D3s. I have always been fascinated with film but could never bring myself about to use it. I have attempted shooting 35mm in the past but for the most part left it alone. This year I decided to conquer my fear of film and at the same time hopefully improve my photography. Most of the credit for this decision goes to my wonderful wife. So I purchased a used Hasselblad 503CX with an 80mm lens and a couple of 120 backs. Here are a few shots from the first couple of rolls.
Seven Days ago my wonderful wife gave birth to our first daughter Jemma Felixa Shpak. I love everything about her; her long wrinkly little fingers, the little noises she makes, how she loves to sleep in her daddies arms, her beautiful eyes that look like her moms eyes, her lips, her ears, and the list can go on and on… She is God’s precious gift to us.
For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
